Companies Hiring Now - Impact of COVID-19
Many companies are experiencing an immediate need for new employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic, presenting good opportunities for job seekers in search of a job due to recent layoffs, furloughed positions or cancellation of shifts.
Delivery networks are looking to hire as more customers choose to order goods online rather than shop in brick and mortar stores. Shippers and warehouse operators are rushing to backfill positions. And grocery and restaurant delivery services are scrambling for new employees as government leaders ban dining at bars and restaurants.
These employer have urgent hiring needs as they try to accommodate increased demand - which means you can secure a job within several days and may not need to have prior experience.

Food delivery service companies are looking for new Personal Shoppers, Warehouse Drivers, Bike Couriers, Scooter Delivery persons and Delivery Drivers to deliver food from popular local restaurants to households in cities across the US (Uber Eats offer opportunities in over 20 countries around the globe). You choose your hours so these are great opportunities for anyone looking for a flexible schedule. You don’t need any prior experience to start delivering, though the minimum hiring age is typically 18. You just need your own transportation and a smartphone so you can download the app.
Warehouse and Shipping Jobs
Any business that offers online shopping is seeing a spike in sales right now. There are many jobs involved in helping to get these goods to consumers. Companies like UPS, FedEx and Amazon are seeking Warehouse personnel, Tractor-Trailer Drivers, Package Delivery Drivers and Package Handlers.
Amazon announced this week that they are hiring 100,000 new employees. They are raising pay by $2 an hour for warehouse and delivery employees through April, bringing the wage up to $17/hour. Applicants can be on the job within 7 days and do not need a resume.
Amazon is also encouraging employees in other industries whose jobs were “lost or furloughed” as a result of the Coronavirus to apply, including members of the hospitality, restaurant and travel industries. “We want those people to know we welcome them on our teams until things return to normal and their past employer is able to bring them back,” said their team.

Grocery chains are struggling to keep their shelves full as shoppers stock up, expecting to hunker down for a while.
