PhD student Bioorganic Chemistry School of Life Sciences FHNW, Institute for Chemistry and Bioanalytics Teaching, research and practice - we connect Your tasks Within an interdisciplinary European collaboration, we seek to fill a position for a Doctoral PhD Student. Starting date Fall 2024. Peptide- and protein-modifications are required for numerous applications ranging from up-cycling protein waste streams to sophisticated applications in biotechnology, medicine and crop protection. The proposed doctoral project will develop and apply methods to selectively functionalize, modify or cleave peptides and proteins by chemical (non-enzymatic) methods, ideally with high yield and selectivity. design and prepare artificial chemical proteases develop protocols to selectively cleave, hydrolyse and modify proteins and peptides analyse and characterize obtained products The contract will be for three years upon successful completion of the initial first year.
