The Data Engineer will play a key role to drive critical business impacts through the delivery of data-driven solutions in the Commercialization IT function. If you want an exciting and rewarding career that is meaningful, consider joining our diverse team Key Responsibilities: Design, develop and maintain reliable transformational solutions based on the identification, collection and evaluation of business requirements and functional specification. Partner with business and IT groups to scale and operationalize solutions to advance business goals and gain competitive advantage Serve as a knowledge expert in foundation models and communicate insights, recommendations, value and impact to technical and non-technical stakeholders Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in technology, and apply that knowledge to drive innovation within the organization Strong hands-on technical development and administration experience in data engineering. Strong technical expertise to support architecture, design, build, assemble tech components, testing and deployment for variety of business requirements. Write/enhance reusable components in cloud technologies like Lambda. Should be able to effectively coordinate with all stakeholders (cross-functional teams) and instrument for the best-in-class solution implementations. Should be able to work directly with multiple stakeholders and work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously from technical perspective. Analyze existing processes and make best practice & improvement recommendations to streamline any of the existing processes which should be harmonized globally. Should be able to demonstrate and explain the functionality outcome of solution implementations. Should be able to clearly document Knowledge Base Docs, Standard Operating Procedures, Solutions, and guidelines for local and global teams. Coordinate and ensure all the standard documentations such as System Design Documents, Configuration tracker, Deployment checklists, Change Requests, Testing, Quality Management tasks are documented and continuously maintained. Ensure to follow all the best practices in every stage of SDLC/Agile, and consistent architecture practices across deliverables using IT operating model and Enterprise Architecture frameworks are followed. Ensure compliance with BMS Data Protection and Cyber Security policies Qualifications & Experience: Requires advanced knowledge applicable to a wide range of work in data & analytics and thorough knowledge of other functions, typically gained through a university degree and 3 years of experience. Demonstrates knowledge in data & analytics skillsets such as data provisioning, data mining, data visualization, programming and analytics capabilities using company approved technologies including AWS, Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), PostgreSQL or equivalent, Redshift, Python, Domino. Potential to lead initiatives related to implementation of new technologies. Can package information and data that tells a story and provides insight to a broader problem. Presents and explains the implications of key information on issues important to the business unit. Frequently interacts with other internal and external stakeholders regarding operational decisions and business requirements. Analyzes the impact of conclusions and actions on people, technology, structure, and workflow across teams Gives others challenging opportunities to build strong capabilities for team. ?Helps drive a culture which motivates awareness and learning through creating space for conversations and debate. Uses judgement and creativity in structuring work and finding solutions that are not obvious. Reviews and assess solutions proposed by others to determine the best path moving forward. Required Knowledge and Skills: Developing and deploying generative AI solutions. Programming in Python and hands-on experience with frameworks such as Pytorch or Tensorflow. Hands on experience with programming and analytics capabilities using company approved technologies including AWS, Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), PostgreSQL or equivalent, Redshift, Domino Experience in implementation/working of Cloud ESB (preferably MuleSoft) Experience in building, administering and consuming Restful API. Certifications in either of Informatica, MuleSoft, AWS developer is plus. Familiarity with a cloud environment (AWS/GCP/Azure). Work with unstructured and semi-structured data. Ability to understand the needs of the business and commitment to deliver the best user experience and adoption Innovative and inquisitive nature to ask questions, offer bold ideas and challenge the status quo Ability to learn new tools and processes 3 years of experience in Data Engineering 3 years of experience in (i) Software Development Life Cycle methodologies including Agile and Waterfall, (ii) different testing standards and guidelines, (iii) Validated and regulated systems in Life Science domain, and (iv) Cloud and native applications. Demonstrated leadership experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and communication skills. Desirable Experience: Prior experience in life sciences, healthcare, or related industry. Prior experience with Veeva Vault Promomats Experience and familiarity with the commercial data within the Pharma industry Have a strong commitment to a career in technology with a passion for healthcare Experience using any of industry standard Agile tooling suites (e.g., Jira), and working knowledge in requirement grooming sessions, Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospective, tasks creation, and collaborating with stakeholders.
