Locum Planning Lawyer

Location: South West England

Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting on behalf of our local authority client for the recruitment of an experienced planning lawyer. The initial duration will be 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Duties will include:

  • Undertaking legal work on behalf of the Council and two National Park Authorities
  • Planning and enforcement advice
  • Planning committee attendance and governance (no more than once a month and held in the day time)
  • Preparing planning agreements
  • Advising on highways law
  • Some supervision and support to junior members of the team

Candidates will need to demonstrate extensive planning experience ideally gained in a local authority setting. This is a hybrid working role with attendance committee required.

Full and part time hours considered.
