Senior Coastal Engineer

RT Consulting are an ERS award winning consultancy that drives innovation and transformation in key sectors, including Defence, Local & Central Government, Policing and Transport.

We currently have a number of urgent requirements and are looking to expand our society of Senior Coastal Engineers.

As a Senior Coastal Engineer you will manage a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high quality levels.

As a Costal Engineer you will;

• Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
• Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
• Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

What you can bring;

• Experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
• Sound knowledge in ocean waves, tidal theory, extreme value statistics, nearshore wave processes and sediment transport.
• Design experience of coastal structures such as flood defences, sea walls, breakwaters, revetments and beaches to appropriate codes and standards such as BS6349, EurOtop manual and rock manual.
• The ability to plan and direct others in the use of numerical modelling to simulate wave propagation, tidal flows hydrodynamics etc.
• You must hold aChartered Civil Engineer qualification and a minimum of CTC clearance.
