Job Description

Fantastic opportunity to work for a rapidly growing manufacturer with a global customer base, who are looking to attract into the team a Buyer to support future business growth.


This is an excellent opportunity for a Buyer who wants to maximise purchasing efficiencies with new and existing suppliers, to ensure the best cost, quality and service levels are achieved.


Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, as Buyer, key responsibilities will be to: -


  • Provide input on contract terms and conditions, assessing suitability of contracts for products and services to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Procure materials and parts in line with requirements to specific specifications and certification requirements.
  • Negotiate prices and limit increases.
  • Making decisions re inventory levels.
  • Manage supplier performance.


The successful candidate will:


  • Have purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Be able to pay close attention to detail, in particular to supplier contracts.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to build solid working relationships with suppliers.
  • Manage supplier negotiations.


On offer: -


  • Salary circa £40,000
  • Bonus
  • Pension
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Early finish on Friday
