Our client, a market-leading manufacturer, is seeking a dynamic an ambitious Junior Buyer to join their operation to cover the EMEA region. Key Responsibilities:

• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and negotiate favourable terms.
• Order Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to forecast demand and prevent shortages.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, quality, and pricing.
• Cost Control: Assist in cost analysis and budget management to optimize procurement expenses and improve profitability.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that all purchased materials meet our rigorous standards.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance using our procurement software.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of best practices in procurement.

Qualifications:

• 2 years experience in a procurement function
• Self starter – able to work independently
• Detail orientated
• Confident in communication/sociable
• Some European travel possible but won’t be a lot or very often.
