Job Description

Purpose

We are looking for an experienced brand and marketing professional to join our group marketing team for a period of up to 12 months to lead and manage an exciting brand transformation project.


This role will work as part of the global marketing function alongside regional commercial, product and marketing teams to plan, lead and implement the brand strategy for Pelsis Insect Light Traps (ILT’s) across both B2B and B2C channels. This role is pivotal to driving the commercial success of the Pelsis ILT portfolio.


The role will also support two Pelsis manufacturing sites in the UK with general on and offline marketing activity and brand management support.

Key responsibilities


Project Management – Pelsis ILT category

Manage and lead the Insect Light Trap brand consolidation project, bringing together three legacy brands into a single product-lead category. Develop, own and implement the project plan to deliver:


  • Audit of legacy brands. Selecting which elements and content is retained and repurposed.
  • Crafting the brand story. Three leading legacy market brands brought together as Pelsis ILT offer.
  • Brand management of product families within the category.
  • Audit of any specifications for particular products or ranges with building management companies/ surveyors etc
  • Work with the sales teams to develop customer & distributor communication explaining the rationale for change.
  • Pro-pest channel transition plan with key accounts.
  • Retail transition plan with key accounts including Amazon and large offline retailers.
  • Amazon brand registry changes and Insect-O-Cutor (IOC) brand store transition.
  • Packaging, instructions, rating plates update and consistency.
  • Website consolidation and developing a plan for ongoing management.
  • A documented brand manual with guidelines and how we use, refer to and protect our legacy brand IP.


Ongoing brand and marketing management of the ILT category

  • Build a new ‘brand’ and drive awareness within the ILT category as part of the consolidation, based on the heritage of the 3 former category brands and the well-known product brands
  • All aspects of ILT product marketing including on-product branding, packaging, instruction sheets, photography, videos etc
  • Supporting with the execution of new ILT product launches into regions
  • Consolidating and standardising all packaging across the Pelsis ILT range
  • Work with the global Portfolio on content creation and management for Pelsis ILT catalogues, presentations, websites, social media etc
  • Website consolidation projects moving three existing legacy sites into one, with ongoing site content management, as well as recommending how the category should be integrated into Pelsis.com.
  • Work closely with the Global ILT portfolio team, Group marketing and regional Sales and Marketing teams.
  • International distributors - marketing support and monitoring


Pelsis Manufacturing marketing support

Manage marketing for Pelsis Manufacturing sites as required, including:


  • Catalogues and brochures
  • Tradeshows planning and execution in consultation with in-country marketing teams.
  • Website development and integration.
  • Sales support.
  • Marketing of private label services.
  • Distributor marketing support.


Skills & requirements

This position requires a motivated individual, qualified to degree standard or with equivalent experience, with demonstrable practical experience of brand, marketing, and project management. A willingness to move from strategy to execution and delivery is essential, as are strong collaboration and influencing skills.


Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of project management in a brand environment. Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential, together with a good knowledge of project management tools and process, ideally Monday.com. The candidate should be confident in dealing with internal colleagues of varying seniority and external partners including agencies.


Key requirements of this position include:


  • Experience of managing brands/products across multiple territories.
  • Able to scope out and timeline change to work within existing budgets, both Group and regional
  • Experience with the full marketing mix.
  • Brand management and storytelling.
  • Digital/ web and social media experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, developing and executing marketing and project plans.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with colleagues from across the business to ensure that goals are met.
  • Willing to travel as required, although it is not anticipated that the role will require extensive travel.
