WHO WE ARE:

The European Power Exchange EPEX SPOT SE operates physical short-term electricity markets in 13 countries: Central Western Europe, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Nordics and in Poland. The heart of our business is to bring together electricity supply and demand across Europe.

EPEX SPOT plays a pivotal role in the energy sector. We help ensure that the market price of electricity remains accurate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by offering our members the right products for power trading through regular auctions or via a 24/7 continuous market. These markets are crucial for helping to integrate efficiently renewable generation, storage and other technologies to help the energy transition implementation at least cost.

Our recent Guarantees of Origin (GO) and Local Flex markets also serve the energy transition: EPEX pan-European GO Auctions offer a transparent market for renewable electricity certificates and build a European trading community for GOs. And our local flex platform provides energy flexibility trading built specifically for use cases related to congestion management on the European transmission and distribution grids, and end-to-end flexibility procurement by System Operators.

Passionate and creative individuals collectively make the success at EPEX. Our friendly and trustful team-oriented atmosphere, innovative mindset, and customer orientation define us. We want our people to feel like they are part of our corporate family and we empower our talents.
