Are you an experienced Registered Scrub Scout Nurse who is passionate about playing a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided?



We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout to join our Perioperative Team on a full-time basis.



As a Perioperative Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout your responsibilities will include:




  • Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care

  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team

  • Ensure patient and staff safety

  • Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only)

  • Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient

  • Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology



About the Company

The hospital is a leading healthcare facility that specializes in acute surgical, medical, maternity and mental health services.

Located in the rapidly developing Northern suburbs of Melbourne, it is very easily accessed via the Western Ring Road, Eastern Freeway and also by public transport.

The hospital currently has 145 beds, including a 4 bed HDU and 5 theatres.

The planned expansion will include increase in Mental health beds and growth of 4 theatres and 34 beds with additional consulting suites.





About You




  • Current Registration with AHPRA

  • 18 months minimum experience as an RN – Scrub Scout

  • Working with Children check (if relevant)

  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care

  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Works well independently and within a team

  • Basic computer skills
