Introduction to the Global Expense Team

The Global Expenses team is comprised of 7 Financial Controllers who are in charge of all AXA IM cost scope, including Technology. Specifically, for Technology, the key deliverables of the team include:
  • Building and tracking of annual IT project portfolio
  • Managing financial figures (actuals & forecast & budget) on Projects and Support activities including regular reporting to Technology and GCOO Management
  • Managing IT costs recharging process using ABC methodology (IT costs allocation to Services and Business Unit).
  • Performing Control reviews on Technology Financial processes to ensure robustness of the financials, tracking and reporting on all issues identified
The role's emphasis is on first our IT financial tool administration (Apptio) and resource management processes (within ServiceNow tool). The apprentice will will be responsible for providing support, maintenance and enhancement of these tools financials tools ServiceNow & Apptio.

The role requires interest in both
  • Technology and IT skills related to database administration (for Apptio model maintenance and enhancement).
  • Corporate Finance and financial controlling topics
Day-to-day duties include (but are not limited to):
  • Financial tool administration (in Apptio)
  • Update allocation key of recharging model
  • Enhancement and optimization of the recharging model
  • Provide analysis and reporting on IT costs recharging to Business Unit
Resource Management (in ServiceNow):
  • Follow up and reporting on internal and tracking of open position and replacements
  • Manage resource activity tracking, both actual and planned activities so they can be valued.

The candidate's profile should entail:
  • Undergraduate students (preferred degrees include Finance and/or IT).
  • Good ability to use MS Office tools, particularly Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Ability to manipulate important and complex dataset and present results in a clear manner
  • Good understanding of data-bases
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive mindset, ability to use good initiative - able to work autonomously
  • Ability to prioritize tasks & work to deadlines
  • Good communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills - must be prepared to communicate with staff at all levels in all locations
  • Displays maturity and professionalism
  • Interest in being part of a Finance organization with focus on IT related scope in a multi-cultural work environment
