Senior Production Planner

Location: Runcorn, Cheshire

Salary: Guide of £45,000 - £55,000 + bonus (& a bit of flex if needed!)

There’s big changes afoot at this supplier of healthy lifestyle products as, for the first time, various aspects of the production process are being brought in-house at the brand new facility. That’s why we’re looking for an experienced Production Planner, in a role that’ll be 4 days/week in the Runcorn office, with one day working from home.

For someone who wants to make a big impact, this is a unique position. Working autonomously, you’ll be setting up systems from scratch, creating a plan which meets customer requirements. Liaising with the production team, you’ll ensure that production can meet current and ongoing demand, monitoring stock inventory levels to meet set targets. With hundreds of SKUs in a range of formats, there’ll be no passing the buck here because in a lean department, there’s no manager overseeing your work – this is a senior role that reports straight to the Supply Chain Director.

As a result of the challenge here, we’re looking for someone who has an absolute minimum of 5 years’ experience in a production planning environment, ideally from at least a couple of different businesses so you can bring the best of what you’ve experienced and implement it here. Any evidence of implementing new systems or making major changes to working practices would be great to see. You must be able to work autonomously, we can’t emphasise that enough. And you’ll have worked with a high number of SKUs – whilst we’re open as to what industry you’ve been in, anything linked to the food, pharma or nutrition sectors would be a plus. Finally, working knowledge of Power BI and Sage would be a big advantage too.
