Job Description

Skyview Systems is a customer-led company focused on creating bespoke weather monitoring solutions. Installing throughout the UK, we provide our monitoring hardware and software products to businesses operating in an ever-changing weather landscape. Working with a small but mighty team, you will have the opportunity to learn from some of the most experienced Technicians and Engineers in the weather industry. From building bespoke weather monitoring solutions in-house to installing on roller coasters and skyscrapers, the opportunity with Skyview is for an individual who is keen to apply their skills on a commercial level with a highly ambitious and focused team. Our Service Engineers are based at our Skyview offices in Sudbury, Suffolk and must be available to travel the length and breadth of the UK to install equipment. On average our engineering team spend 1-2 days in the office per week and 3-4 days on the road (must be able to commute to Sudbury).


About You:

We are looking for an individual with attention to detail who is able to work within an experienced team to execute projects, completing time-sensitive and often mission-critical installations to a high standard. Applications with specific outdoor service or installation experience are desirable; however, if you have a basic understanding or experience of electrical installation we want to hear from you, as training will be provided.


Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Service engineer experience is advantageous but not essential


Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing for site visits (services, rescues and new installs)
  • Testing and configuring of equipment
  • Preparing documentation and system drawings
  • Preparing, testing and configuration of equipment
  • Performing installations and commissioning visits
  • Providing customer training
  • Servicing and calibrating sensors
  • Completing service and calibration, installation and site visit reports, which advise both the client and the Technical Director of works carried out on site
  • Ensuring that the workplace/site is left clean and tidy in accordance with client requirements and H&S regulations
  • Assisting with the booking-in of equipment
  • Arranging accommodation
  • Ensuring all administrative paperwork i.e. service documents, contracts, site expenses are inputted onto the SuperOffice CRM system
  • Completing office-based tasks such as providing clients with support and identifying any faults from data shown in Skylink-Pro
  • Taking due care of company vehicle, completing vehicle checks and ensuring servicing requirements or defects are reported to the Fleet Manager
  • Supporting other departments as required
  • Representing Skyview Systems and helping us implement our ISO 9001: 2015 company objectives and green policy
