Job Requirements

Evaluate and assure supplier produced Aero-Engine parts are delivered to the customer as agreed to meet Engine build schedule. Identify Bottleneck/Capacity Constraints that will be used to develop improvement and mitigation plans for improved on-time delivery from suppliers. This Hybrid position requires aspects of Supply Chain management, procurement, manufacturing and quality assurance. Candidates must; be in France, speak fluent French and English, possess a driving license and have the willingness to travel.


Work Experience

Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Management and Production Planning support of various OEM sites and their suppliers located throughout Europe, however primarily in France.
  • Acquire a vision of the big picture, understanding that enhancement of operational effectiveness is key to organisational business performance.
  • Drive to consistently pursue solutions to accomplish goals and objectives to satisfy our customer’s needs: requiring extraordinary determination, self-motivation and interpersonal skills.
  • Communicating and working to remove barriers that prevent consistent achievement of business goals specific to the on-time delivery of parts to the Customer.
  • Effectively driving tasks/projects to completion which includes Leading Indicator (LI) data collection: RM availability and on order, WIP tracking, Quality Notification closures, and Sub-Tier Supplier tracking.
  • Passion for results and ability to build relations with various Partners, Customers, and Suppliers.
  • Working with multiple projects, interacting with several departments and various levels of management simultaneously.
  • Gather feedback and work to identify new improvement projects in conjunction with Supplier Development Leaders
  • Develop a strong understanding of the products and the operational processes they go through at your assigned Suppliers.
  • Make detailed observations with the ability to interpret/analyse process and part data.
  • Monitor MRP tools, Production schedules, WIP (shop floor), Non-conformances against delivery commit dates whilst providing forecast burndown plans to the Customer.
  • Document, summarise, write reports, create presentations and disseminate information as required.

Skills (Mechanical)

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes i.e. Forging/Casting/Assembly/Machining/Special Processes.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawing and technical information.
  • Involvement with Process Planning and Production Readiness reviews.
  • Familiarity with Operating/Work Instructions and Control Plans.
  • Exposure to Lean methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of material packaging and handling.

Skills (Supply chain)

  • Experience in Supply Chain Management, Production Planning/Quality/Operations.
  • Familiarity with Operating/Work Instructions and Control Plans.
  • History of Customer facing.
  • Experience in using SAP or similar ERP system.
  • Shipping and distribution.

Skills (Production/Procurement)

  • Knowledge of part qualification requirements (including PPAP/FAI/RCCA processes).
  • Understanding of in Production processes i.e. Machining/Assembly/CMM/Special Processes/5S/BOM.
  • Experience in a using SAP or similar ERP system.
  • Planning / Raw material / Inventory / tool/ buffer stocks / Purchasing /procurement.

Experience desired:

  • French aerospace knowledge.
  • Experience of structured problem-solving methodology: Lean/ACE, lead change/improvement activity/DMAIC/6 Sigma etc.
  • Formal auditing qualification.
  • Ability to read/interpret drawings including understanding of GD&T and critical characteristics (KPCs).
  • Experience in using SAP or similar ERP system.
