Position Summary Reporting to the Clinical Manager, Emergency Services, the successful applicant must meet the following criteria: Mandatory Qualifications Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario Current B.C.L.S. Certificate Current (1 year) emergency experience Mandatory Competencies Excellent conflict resolution skills Excellent patient assessment skills, successful completion of the Patient Assessment course an asset Excellent communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills Proven ability to organize workload in a fast paced constantly changing environment Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professionalism in nursing Demonstrate expertise in casting technique a definite asset Able to perform venipuncture, 12/15 Lead ECG an asset Meditech experience an asset Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and experience in patient education Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team Member of RPNO an asset Reliable individual with excellent attendance record Must be able to function within your full scope of practice as a RPN Primary Responsibilities Also Include Safety (patient, worker & workplace) is a BCHS Corporate Priority.
