Junior Winemaker

Diemersdal Wine Estate currently has an exciting position available for an Assistant Winemaker situated Durbanville (Western Cape). The ideal candidate is a diligent, detail- oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills (Afrikaans & English), and has the ability to perform well in both team context and independently. The Junior Winemaker will be responsible for (but not limited to): full winemaking process as part of the winemaking team blending and stabilisation of wine coordination of harvest activities bottling quality control basic laboratory analysis quality control inventory management cellar staff management cellar hygiene liaison on wine sales, wine tastings and promotions wine/cellar administration and record keeping all other functions related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: Diploma/Degree in Viticulture and Oenology; Approximately 3 years' relevant experience; Knowledge of different quality control systems (IPW, BRCGS, WIETA); Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, WineMS); Attention to detail and passionate and energetic mindset Valid driver's license.
