Job Description


Laboratory Leader M/F/X

(CDI)


We are currently looking for passionate people ready to make a difference in the following open position: Laboratory Leader M/F/X, based in Lyon (7e).


This position aims at defining and implementing the Global Laboratories' strategy.

She or he will report into the Global Regulatory & Compliance and Insight Quality Director.


Within Insight, the Laboratory Leader oversees the following:


  • Strategy : Define the strategy for France and US based-laboratories
  • Management: Supervise laboratory staff in France and the Laboratory Manager in the USA.
  • Organization: Organize and oversee laboratories, objectives, services, safety, staff recruitment and trainings, and deploy applicable policies.
  • Application and Compliance: Lead and update the compliance policy : protocols, regulatory requirements and SOPs, and ensure that the laboratories follow these guidelines
  • Equipment, System and Inventory Management: Oversee the funding, acquisition, operation, validation, calibration, maintenance, and performance of laboratories' equipments, systems and Inventory.
  • Coordination: Foster and promote best practices within the Insight laboratories and the units. Encourage sharing of best practices across the company. Coordinate strategy implementation and transversal activities with Lab Unit Managers.
  • Process/Tool Development: Lead the development and implementation of new laboratory processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Improvement Roadmap: Oversee the continuous improvement roadmap, ensuring the effective implementation of new methodologies and enhancements across the laboratories.



Qualifications


  • Education: Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Physical Measurement, Mechanical, Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Sciences).
  • Experience: Proven experience in multi sites laboratory management. Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management, resource allocation, tracking, and staff training.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in technical and international collaboration.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge in laboratory processes, method validation, equipment management, and compliance.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of GMP, GLP, Safety, and other relevant regulatory standards (ISO 17025, ISO 13485...) applicable to laboratories.
  • Continuous Improvement: Experience in driving and managing continuous improvement initiatives within a laboratory setting (nice to have)
  • Language: Proficiency in English, including technical vocabulary and communication skills.
