Job Description

Our customer, FMCG company, is looking for:


Senior Key Account Director F/H

Paris

This position will be part of the French Commercial leadership team and reports to the Sales Director France. The Senior Key Account Director will be responsible for managing and growing the food brands across national accounts including Carrefour, Leclerc but also Horeca accounts. This role is pivotal in driving sales and ensuring the brand’s mission resonates with retail partners and consumers.


Responsibilities:


Develop and implement strategic plans with focus on big FMCG retailers both on brands and Private Labels.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within these retailers.

Monitor and analyze account performance, identifying opportunities and risks, and taking proactive action to optimize sales.

Negotiate terms, promotions, and joint business plans to ensure mutual growth and profitability.

Stay updated on market trends, competitor activity and consumer insights to inform account strategies.

Provide feedback and recommendations to internal teams to enhance product offering and positioning.

Work cross-functionally with global teams, including marketing, supply chain, R&D and finance to ensure alignment and delivery of account objectives.

Will be capable to negotiate HORECA accounts too.


Qualifications:


  • University Diploma from business economics school.
  • Minimum 6 years working experience in FMCG negotiation roles.
  • Proven track record in a senior account management role, preferably within a mission driven challenger brand, or FMCG business, food preferred.
  • Adaptability to smaller/ETI companies with more autonomy.
  • Direct experience managing top-tier retailers including Carrefour, GALEC.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, with the ability to drive sales and growth and profitability.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive account plans.
  • Data-driven, with strong analytical skills to interpret performance metrics and market trends.
  • Excellent Fluency in English language both written and spoken. Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Advanced Excel skills, analytical capabilities, and a strong working knowledge of BI applications.
  • A natural Business Partner able to build rapport, trust and influence the outcome.
  • An Inquisitive mind, able to quickly assess risks and opportunities within complex business situations and provide logical Commercial solutions.
