Job Description

Contract: Permanent, Flexible working arrangements considered (3.5 to 5 days a week)
Location: The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to the Bradford, Peterborough or Camberley office with travel to other sites as required.
Salary: The spot salary for this post is £43,322 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

First round interview will take place on Tuesday 8th October.

They’re looking for a Policy Advisor to join their Strategy, Policy & Insights team. As their Policy Advisor, you’ll be responsible for supporting the development and reviewing of policies that support the strategic objectives of our client.

This role will support the Senior Policy Advisor with extensive research, stakeholder engagement, and the creation of evidence-based policy recommendations to ensure that our client meets its regulatory and legislative requirements, enhances service delivery, and promotes sustainable housing solutions.

To be successful the Policy Advisor will need to work closely with the Senior Policy Advisor to ensure policies are fit for purpose, understood, and followed by all relevant colleagues.

This is an exciting opportunity as you’ll be involved in setting up and shaping our client's Policy function, supporting their Corporate Strategy of delivering lasting change. This is a dynamic role with a national remit.

You’ll also receive:
  • 28 days paid holiday plus bank holidays per year (pro-rata for part time) rising by 1 day per year up to a maximum of one working week.

What skills/behaviours do you need to be a Policy Advisor?
  • Proven experience in policy development, research, and analysis within the housing sector
  • Strong understanding of housing legislation, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment

They’ll provide you with the equipment and software you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.
