As IT Engineering Manager at TJX, you will be accountable for Managing a team of Engineers who would Build, test and implementation of our portfolio of global IT solutions for the Customer Analytics for Marketing Business unit. You will act as a manager consulting with a Product owner, Senior Engineer(s) and a Scrum Master to delivering features, collaborating to design and refine small to complex pieces of work and providing guidance to your teammates. Stay updated with the latest Martech IT trends and technologies, and continuously seek ways to improve the organizations IT systems and processes. Key Responsibilities: Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work up and down within the organization to influence others and achieve results Partner with key stakeholders & IT leaders across all levels to drive solutions to meet business needs Line Manager a team of 7 direct report Data and Analytics Engineers Accountable for the technical delivery of technical Features to achieve business outcomes Participates in solution approaches / designs and operating principles Serves as a liaison with other IT partners for technical matters relating to their owned products (inc. security related aspects) Initial point of escalation for team to remove blockers Special projects as assigned Model lean-agile leadership behaviours Practice Servant Leadership, enable teams and talent Foster an Engineering Mindset Continually focus on eliminating waste and delays Eliminate demotivating policies and procedures Accountable for developing Engineering staff Demonstrates a commitment and passion for associate development, driving the talent agenda. Sets clear goals and expectations around performance, providing timely feedback and stretching targets Sets the highest standards for talent development, holding self and others accountable for meeting crucial talent needs for the future across the business Works with peers to identify opportunities to develop cross functionally Sets a standard for driving continuous improvement and focus upon being a high performance organization Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure building high performing team and contribute towards their professional growth Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, within budget ensuring the solution meets TJX Privacy, Compliance, Security standards, Audit and Federal regulations. System Development: Manage the design, development, and implementation of IT systems and solutions that meet the organizations needs. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all IT systems and solutions are tested and meet the required quality standards. Security Management: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect the organizations IT infrastructure and data. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT partners and Business stakeholders to understand their needs and build effective solutions. Product team Leadership collaboration: Partner with Product management, Business, IT Senior engineers to understand the vision and convey to IT Engineers/Development team Budget Management: Contribute and collaborate with C360 IT team leads to manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Martech IT trends and technologies, and continuously seek ways to improve the organizations IT systems and processes. What You will Need (Minimum Qualifications): Typically has 8-10 years prior experience in Data and Analytics engineering 3 5 Years of Line Management experience SAFe certification preferred Technology experience with: Cloud computing platforms (Azure preferred) Snowflake Azure Data Lake Storage Databricks Talend Bachelors Degree or equivalent engineering skillset, training, or technical work experience Experience with source code control and continuous integration tools Problem solving and critical thinking skills to solve complex technical problems Strong champion of DevSecOps and Engineering practices. Proven success in meeting business objectives/project goals and delivering technology - well organized individual able to hold people accountable for results. An enabler of DevOps mindset/approach for modernized and legacy systems to co-exist Experience managing and mentoring Medium to Senior engineers Proven experience in Customer Analytics (Marketing Domain), with a strong background in system development and project management. Preferred Qualifications: Prior retail analytics and Customer analytics experience Experience with a matrixed management organization Strong knowledge of the solution delivery lifecycle including project management, business requirements, application development, testing, technologies/platforms, agile development methodologies, use of product team structures, and/or other applicable methodologies. Experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies & public cloud platform is strongly desired Experience with: Source code control (e.g. GitHub) Continuous integration tools (e.g. Azure DevOps) Proven experience in Customer Analytics (Marketing Domain), with a strong background in system development and project management Come Discover Different at TJX.
