Account Manager


Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 DOE basic salary plus generous commission scheme


Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Position


Hours of Work: Core hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (flexible working and flexi-time policies available after probation)


Requirements:

  • UK Driving License
  • Access to a car
  • A full DBS check may be conducted

Careers Plus is recruiting on behalf of our client for a dynamic Account Manager to join their team. Role Description

The Account Manager will be a key player within the Solutions Team, responsible for managing client accounts, collaborating on IT strategies, designing new solutions, and developing new business opportunities. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships and providing exceptional customer service rather than focusing solely on sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Listen to customer needs and provide accurate quotations
  • Discuss a broad portfolio of services with clients
  • Conduct meetings with clients to discuss IT strategies and perform Quarterly Business Reviews alongside the Technical Team
  • Manage and update the CRM system
  • Collaborate with technical staff to deliver the right solutions to customers


On a typical day, you might provide quotes for specific hardware or software, follow up on existing quotes, or proactively reach out to customers to discuss new technology and services that could benefit their business. Occasionally, you will be involved in more technically complex projects, but rest assured, our expert team will support you every step of the way.


Person Specification

Essential Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of the sales process, from prospecting to closing
  • Ability to build and develop relationships with clients
  • Quick learner with a solid understanding of the technology and services offered
  • Ability to act as the primary point of contact for customer sales inquiries


Desirable Skills

  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of company values and fits well with the team culture
  • Experience in a technical position looking to move into sales, or prior experience in sales account management is beneficial, but not required
  • Open to individuals from diverse backgrounds who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment
