Job Title: Grants and Corporate Funding Officer

Location: Work From Home – with regular travel to Newark, Nottinghamshire

Position Type: Part Time (18hpw), 12 month fixed-term contract (subject to funding)

Salary: £27,742 FTE (£13,496 pro rata for 18 hpw)

What You’ll Do:


As Grants and Corporate Funding Officer, you will be the linchpin of our fundraising efforts. Your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Identifying Funding Opportunities: Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and private entities.
  • Proposal Writing: Craft persuasive and tailored grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents.
  • Securing new corporate fundraising opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with businesses.
  • Grant Management: Maintain and manage a calendar of submissions and reporting deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the project manager to align grant applications and fundraising opportunities with organisational goals and project needs.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit grant monitoring reports, ensuring compliance with funder requirements, and meeting expectations from business donors and partners.

What We’re Looking For:


  • Proven success: In bid writing and corporate fundraising.
  • Skills: Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills. Ability to convey complex ideas succinctly and compellingly.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proactive Attitude: Self-motivated and able to work independently while also being a team player.
  • Technology Savvy: Proficient in using a range of software and other relevant tools.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including excellent interpersonal skills, presentation and networking skills
