Butcher

Ruby & White Butchers are looking for a reliable Butcher to join our hard working wholesale butchery team.

We supply a large number of pubs, restaurants, hotels and caterers in Bristol and the surrounding area. Our product range is extensive and we pride ourselves on quality, consistency and our ability to prepare customer orders to their exact requirements and specifications. We are a young and rapidly expanding shop and wholesale butchery driven by fresh ideas and an innovative approach to succeeding in todays competitive and evolving food service industry.

For this role, you will have knowledge and experience of cutting meat and the ability to prepare products to chefs specifications in a fast paced environment. This will include excellent portion control as you will be cutting a variety of meats both on the bone and off the bone, so a good eye for quality control and the ability to minimize wastage is key.

Good working knowledge of the foods safety requirements in a licensed cutting plant is advantageous.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

• Be hard working, punctual, honest and reliable
• Be able to work under pressure, as it is a fast paced environment, while still following important safety procedures
• Have experience working in a wholesale butchery environment
• Be a strong team player

This is a full time position, working approximately 48 hours per week. We have early and day shifts available.

Your days off will be Sunday and one other day which may change depending on the rota and staffing requirements. Part time will be considered.
