About The Role

Are you an experienced Coordinator looking for a new challenge within a growing organisation that makes a real difference to people's lives? If so, we want to hear from you.

As a Lettings Coordinator for the Supported Housing Young People's team you will responsible for effectively managing all referrals received for the Plymouth Foyer.The Plymouth Foyer is at the heart of the Young People's services in Plymouth, and therefore it is essential that referrals are reviewed, assessed and allocated both efficiently and compassionately.

The role:
  • Handle incoming referrals to the service.
  • Triage and allocate referrals based on client need.
  • Accurately record client information on our internal systems.
  • Respond to enquiries to the service via phone and email.
  • Signpost to alternative support services where appropriate.
  • Carry out readiness assessments for new applicants to the service, following a strength based approach, to determine if the Foyer would be an appropriate placement for them.
  • Liaise with partner agencies throughout the referral process.
  • Minute taking for multi agency meetings with professionals.
This role is being offered on a part time, permanent basis working 22.2 hours per week. This position will be based in our Plymouth Foyer. A hybrid working style is an option.

About The Candidate

To be considered for the role of Coordinator - Lettings, you will be/have:-
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Understanding, or experience, of issues surrounding young people and/or homelessness
  • and an awareness of associated risk management: alcohol and substance misuse, mental
  • health, self-harm, offending behaviour.
  • Resilient with the ability to be open and responsive to the changing needs of young people and commissioners of the service.
  • Lone work safety and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with service users, professionals and others.
  • Effective organisational skills and ability to manage competing demands.
  • Understanding of the issues around Safeguarding and confidentiality.
