Software Developer PL/SQL

On behalf of our client, a leading SaaS provider, we are looking for a UK based remote working back end Software Developer with strong SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing ETL tasks on multi format retail POS data and preparing it for use by a SQL based C# .Net analytical application.
While your primary focus as Software Developer will be on SQL/Oracle data processes and backend development, experience or an interest in database administration is highly valued. Any knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue, and/or familiarity with MongoDB, would be considered beneficial too but certainly not essential.
Key Responsibilities:

• Adopt, develop, and implement ETL processes for large sets of retail POS data, ensuring seamless integration with the analytical application.
• Develop and maintain SQL and PL/SQL queries for data transformation and preparation.
• Work closely with Oracle databases, ensuring data integrity and optimisation.
• Contribute to the development of the C# .Net-based analytical application, especially with APIs
• Support the DBA to help maintain and optimise the database environments.
• Collaborate with the other Software Developers and the wider development team to integrate solutions into the platform.
• Bonus: Support the team with React or Vue JavaScript front-end development if needed.
• Bonus: Leverage any knowledge or professional interest in MongoDB to support future projects.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a back end Software Developer with a strong focus on SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle.
• Experience in or willingness to work with C# .Net applications.
• Experience performing ETL processes for data preparation and transformation.
• Some experience or interest in DBA tasks would be beneficial, though not required.
• Bonus: Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Bonus: Understanding or interest in MongoDB for future project support.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
