£31 - £40 per hour

About the Role:

Randstad is currently recruiting for a highly organized and experienced Team Manager to lead the Social Worker File Auditing team in Middlesbrough.
This role involves overseeing the auditing of social work case files to ensure compliance with legal standards, best practices, and internal policies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of auditors and ensuring that high-quality standards are consistently met, with a focus on safeguarding and improving outcomes for service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Social Worker File Auditing team, providing supervision, support, and development opportunities for team members.
  • Conduct regular audits of social work case files, ensuring that they comply with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance or improvement, and work collaboratively with social work teams to address and resolve these issues.
  • Provide detailed feedback and recommendations to practitioners and managers, supporting continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Work closely with senior management and stakeholders to ensure that the audit process contributes to strategic improvements and the overall effectiveness of social work services.
  • Stay up to date with changes in social work legislation, policies, and best practices, and incorporate this knowledge into the auditing process.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid Social Work England registration.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role, ideally within an auditing or quality assurance function.
  • In-depth knowledge of current social work legislation, policies, and procedures, including safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • A commitment to promoting the highest standards of practice and improving outcomes for children, families, and vulnerable adults.
