Senior Relationship Manager - Indian Corporates

Primary Responsibilities

• Actively source and develop new corporate client relationships, with a focus on large Indian enterprises and MNCs in India
• Manage and deepen existing corporate banking relationships with Indian clients, understanding the financial needs and providing appropriate banking products and services
• Structure and deliver customised corporate banking solutions including lending, cash management, trade finance, and other specialised services
• Work closely with internal teams (credit, product, operations) to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients
• Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to expand the breadth of banking services provided to clients
• Maintain strong market knowledge of the Indian corporate landscape, industry trends, and competitive landscape
• Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets and financial goals
• Represent the bank at industry events, client meetings, and other networking activities

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate banking, with a strong track record of business development and client relationship management in the Indian market
• Sound understanding of the Indian corporate sector, including industry dynamics, regulatory environment, and client needs
• Extensive network of senior-level contacts within large Indian conglomerates and multinational corporations
• Proven ability to identify client needs, structure appropriate banking solutions, and deliver exceptional customer service
• Strong business acumen, financial analysis skills, and commercial negotiation capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in relevant Indian languages (e.g., Hindi, Tamil, Telugu) preferred
• Willingness to travel regularly to India to meet with clients and prospects
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional banking certification is an advantage
