Job Type: Permanent, Full time or half full time available

Salary: Full Time: £21,529-£23,621 per annum / Part Time: £10,764-£11,810 per annum

Start Date: September 2024

Progress Coach - The Role:

Our Progress Coaches work directly with our students, providing pastoral support and mentoring to caseloads of students in 1-2-1 and group review sessions to identify and overcome barriers to achievement.

Progress Coaching is vital, aiding our students to build develop social and employability skills supporting them to progress with their studies and to move into employment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a Progress Coach to a designated number of learners, working closely with Curriculum Managers and teaching staff as learners' advocates to support the successful completion of their journey through monitoring progress and performance

- Support learners' induction, performance, progress and progression

- Be responsible for a caseload of learners, and to work with them in tutorial groups, smaller

focused sessions and 121

- Deliver the mandatory tutorial plan for the caseload of learners allocated

- Check and monitor student attendance within their caseload, working closely with curriculum teams, CMs and intervention coaches to improve attendance, in line with college policy

- Respond promptly where barriers to learning are identified by carrying out proactive intervention strategies, referring learners to relevant support where required and monitoring their progress and altering actions to ensure success

Progress Coach - You:

You need to have a Level 3 qualification in Youth Work, Training (or related discipline) or be willing to work towards this, along with knowledge of Safeguarding procedures and previous experience of working with young people.
