The Hospitality Head Chef will lead, inspire, and manage the craft team and catering service within the hospitality department, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.


Reporting to the Executive Chef and collaborating with senior management, you will deliver innovative menus and food offerings that exceed client expectations, incorporating a variety of seasonal requests.


Job Description


In this role, you will oversee daily operations, showcasing your culinary expertise and creativity to provide exceptional service. As a passionate food enthusiast, you will stay abreast of culinary trends and bring fresh, exciting ideas to the table.


Your focus will be on utilizing seasonal ingredients and working with nominated suppliers to craft diverse menus that appeal to a broad demographic.


As Head Chef, you will manage and control all aspects of food production within budgetary guidelines, ensuring compliance with client, company, and statutory regulations.


This role is perfect for a leader with a passion for food, creativity, and a strategic mindset to drive business and team development.


Key Responsibilities


  • Organise and control key aspects of the food offers, through the varied menus, brochures, packages
  • Drive all craft teams, with strategic planning for growth and profitability of the business
  • Inspire and lead the teams to meet the campus spirt, to offer unique experiences to every customer
  • Ensure the team members know their responsibilities, while supporting to achieve them
  • Utilise a “hands on” approach whilst maintaining a strategic eye for the development of business, and team members
  • Deliver an experience, more so than just a service
  • Stay on top of food & hospitality trends and discuss these with your teams, managers and department
  • Pre-empt the needs of our customers and create meaningful and memorable service moments, catching data and feedback
  • Maintain a professional high-profile, and be aware of what’s happening during services, craft teams and effectively resolve any challenges, ensuring colleague and customer satisfaction at all times
  • Support delivering a clear line of communication between all team members, both FOH and BOH


Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications


  • Experience to organise, control and inspire all aspects of seasonal menus, brochures and food offers, with strategic planning for growth and profitability of the business
  • Demonstrable experience of training and coaching team members to maximise commercials, drive seasonal menus and upselling events
  • Must be IT literate and possess good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to identify and resolve issues and challenges to meet and exceed the expectations of our client
