About the Income Advisor role

You will make a significant contribution to our business as you collect rent and other debts from both current and former tenants.An exciting part of this role is doing all that you can to assist our tenants with their finances and help them find solutions to enable them to pay their rent.This could involve organising debt advice or supporting applications for benefits / grants.You will need excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to engage with a wide range of people from various backgrounds and abilities.You will be responsible for reducing rent arrears and where necessary issue legal documentation and attend court hearings for possession of peoples homes where there is no other alternative.

This is a part-time role for 21 hours per week, to be worked during our opening times of 8.30am 5.00pm.

About you

Previous experience in a similar role is not required, but you will require a good customer service background and excellent negotiation skills, together with a high level of numeracy. You will need to be an effective problem solver and have the ability to balance tenant and business needs and strive to achieve targets.
