CAD Draughtsperson / Design Engineer

A prominent player in the scientific sector, is on the lookout for a skilled CAD Draughtsperson / Design Engineer for a contract position. This role involves producing 2D and 3D technical, component and assembly drawings using Solidworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce electro-mechanical 3D models and technical drawings
• Create 2D engineering drawings and BOMs from 3D models.
• Maintain existing design-related documentation within the engineering system.

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in using Solidworks CAD package is essential.
• Ability to use AutoCAD/DraftSight is mandatory.
• Awareness and knowledge of machining operations, materials, finishing processes, and fabrication.
• Appreciation for electrical/electronic products.

Skills:

• Expertise in using Solidworks 3D package.
• Knowledge of BS8888 engineering drawings is essential.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD/DraftSight.
• Strong project and time management abilities.
