The latest product, a ground breaking fleet electrification tool, leverages big data and advanced simulations to facilitate confident transitions to electric vehicles.


Salary: Up to £65,000 + Benefits

Location: Southampton Science Park, Hampshire, UK (Hybrid)

As a Data Warehouse Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain big data infrastructure. You will work with modern data technologies and help shape the future of fleet electrification by enabling efficient data processing and analysis.


Responsibilities as a Data Warehouse Engineer:

  • Lead the transition from a relational database to a modern data warehousing stack.
  • Improve the speed and efficiency of the product data pipeline.
  • Manage vast quantities of fleet operational data using modern big data practices.
  • Create autonomous, data-driven workflows using cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team for agile development and customer onboarding.
  • Assist the Analytics team with big data challenges.
  • Promote data management best practices and standards across the organization.


Requirements as a Data Warehouse Engineer:

  • Background in STEM, Computer Science, or a related field, with work experience or equivalent expertise.
  • Extensive experience with Databricks or similar modern data stack providers.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and cloud-based data processing.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices, Git, and cloud services for scalable compute.


Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in the logistics or vehicle industry.
  • Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, etc.)
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience working with timeseries/geographic data.
