Davies is a multi-award-winning operations management, consulting, and digital solutions provider to organisations in highly regulated markets, including insurance, financial services, utilities, communications and to regulatory bodies. Our core services include Claims Solutions, Insurance Services Consulting and Technology and Legal Solutions.


Projects are managed centrally through the Group Transformation & Change Team, who assemble and organize resources for project delivery from the Group IT Projects Team. The teams deliver a mixture of projects including IT integration of acquired businesses, strategic IT projects, operational process and design, and various other requests from across the Group.


The role


Working within Transformation & Change PMO Centre of Excellence team, the role will support the Head of Centre of Excellence with the new Strategic Management Portfolio process and application (SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management)) tool adoption and will include the development and delivery of training.In incumbent will implement best practices, own the Transformation Hub (SharePoint Document Repository) and work alongside the PMO.


This role will require the ability to balance priorities, deal with complex information, and work collaboratively with others to succeed. Interested candidates will have the ability to organise and work to key milestones with limited supervision.


Key responsibilities


  • Support in the embedding of Programme and Project management methodologies and best practice across Transformation & Change enhancing the delivery of change initiatives.
  • Platform and process (SPM) development of training and logistics associated to training.
  • Working alongside the Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) Lead to develop and deploy enhancements of the tool.
  • Positively engage Business sponsors, leads and subject matter experts regarding tool adoption and future requirements.
  • Support the Delivery teams to continuously improve methodology, approach, practice, and delivery where required.
  • Working with the Transformation & Change project management community ensuring adoption of SPM and related process.
  • Owning the Transformation Hub SharePoint site and being responsible as a SharePoint admin and future development.
  • Working alongside PMO developing and enhancing processes and training for the project management community.
  • Supporting the Head of Centre of Excellence Manager with all activities within team.


Key skills and experience required


  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and process improvement skillset in a transformation focused environment
  • Experience across full project lifecycle from Discovery to BAU
  • Extensive industry experience
  • P3O, PRINCE 2 or equivalent
  • SharePoint Admin/development
  • ServiceNow SPM (desirable)
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Commercial awareness of Davies Group
  • Ability to work in a team and across all levels.
  • Attention to detail
