Job summary

The Account Manager role will provide support primarily to the Key Account Manager (KAM), as well as other internal functions including finance, purchasing and quality across the European plants supplying Danone.


Main tasks and responsibilities

Accounts Receivable 5%

  • Assist Credit and Collections with payment issues to help reduce the DSO.
  • Analyze and resolve pricing discrepancies, with Danone Front Office.
  • Communicate to KAM and controllers when notified of any issues that could cause delays in customer payment within terms. i.e. quality and/or pricing issues.


Administrative 35%

  • Maintain customer driven price sheets and ensure consistency and correctness. Communicate changes to the customer and be responsible for uploading into specific online tools where applicable.
  • Communicate internally pricing updates and additional adjustments.
  • Manage SKU Codes and complete necessary forms to have customer bottle contracts created, new parts added and pricing updates when necessary.
  • Consolidate miscellaneous billings (i.e samples).
  • Maintain volume driven trackers such as amortization, rebate, Year End reconciliations, materials inventory file.
  • Maintain a visible and systematic model for managing Danone information in Public Drive to improve accessibility.
  • Consolidation of Monthly Data – Energy, Resin and Freight.


Customer Service 35%

  • Develop strong internal and external relationships to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Provide support to the plants by responding to their requests within 48 hours.
  • Meet with key customer contacts and Account Manager when necessary.
  • Provide customer support to the KAM.
  • As KAM’s change, be responsible for transferring customer knowledge and support new KAM on customer specifics.
  • Schedule calls with KAM for periodic updates on account.
  • Provide customer specific reports to meet customer expectations in terms of quality and required time frame. More specifically, monthly volume and value, amortization overview, QBR contribution.
  • Attend and contribute to monthly internal WC plant review calls.


Sales Planning / Supply Chain / Logistics 25%

  • Develop relationships with customer planning teams in all locations to improve forecasting.
  • Support KAM to develop forecasting KPI’s with customer.
  • Obtain and forward customer forecasts to demand planning teams in relevant sites.
  • Work with KAM to review budget established by S&OP team to ensure data integrity.
  • Coordinate with customer, plants, engineering, KAM to complete the necessary material master data forms to establish new items in SAP.
  • Manage SAP material numbers (material master and contract).
  • Create and maintain representative budget/forecast part numbers.
  • Track exotic and freight costs on a monthly basis with procurement to manage overall margin.
  • Review and validate budget pricing provided by KAM.



Minimum job specifications and requirements

Education: Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or FinanceLanguage: fluent in French and English

Working conditions

  • The incumbent may be required to travel on a regular basis, mostly to customers, in European Graham Packaging plants and headquarter.
