Titan Freight are currently assisting their client based in Manchester with their search for a Branch Manager to join their Land Operations team on a permanent basis.
The role will be overseeing all import/export, warehouse operations and facilities management for ourManchesteroffice.
Key responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee all road freight operations to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of services
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage the branch team, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners.
- Budget & Financial Management: Prepare and manage the branch budget, monitoring expenses, revenue, and profitability
- Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to relevant safety, legal, and company policies, including transport regulations
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze branch performance data, implement strategies for improvement, and report to senior management
- Customer Service: Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving
Requirements:
- Proven experience in road freight, logistics, or transport management.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing successful teams.
- In-depth knowledge of road freight regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and optimize operational costs.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to business development.
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office suite.
