Loss Prevention Investigator Manchester


About the role

An exciting opportunity has emerged to join a growing and successful Loss Prevention Team. We have a vacancy for a Loss Prevention Investigator, which would be based in the Manchester area working in stores across the district.

What you’ll be doing

  • Significant demonstrable experience dealing with shrink and crime resolution within a retail environment.
  • Knowledge of loss prevention policies and practices.
  • Experience of case building, the criminal justice system and its process, as well as judicial interventions: CBOs, civil recovery methods etc.
  • IT literate - Efficient in using a variety of platforms and software, including Microsoft Office and be literate with data analysis.
  • Knowledge on data mining best practises, industry standard investigation and interview techniques e.g. PACE and WZ.


What do we need from you?

  • A clear, concise communicator, both written and verbally with the ability to make decisions as needed with minimal supervision.
  • Experience of interviewing potential shop lifters using a range of techniques including MG11, and attending court.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organisation to different people across the organisation.
  • Able to manage own time and prioritise effectively.
  • Inquisitive, calm, and professional approach to the role.
  • Adaptable and resilient in all areas of self-development and the role.
