Ethical Supply Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) professional to join a dynamic, fast-paced environment in the food and drink sector.


With an international supply base spanning multiple countries in Asia, South America and Africa, our client supplies both Own Label and Branded products to all major UK retailers and foodservice customers. As the Manager of a team overseeing all ethical supply and CSR operations, you will play a key role in ensuring that sourcing, packing, shipping, and distribution processes remain ethical and sustainable.


About the Role:

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will lead the sustainability, CSR and ethical trade initiatives across the supply chain, building and maintaining strong relationships with key partners, and ensuring full compliance with industry standards.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact, ensuring that they meet and exceed ethical and sustainability expectations in every part of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly update and enforce the company’s sustainability and ethical trade policies, ensuring all suppliers meet the high standards established.
  • Oversee all sustainable and ethical practices within the supply chain, including a range of specialist suppliers to implement best practices.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with leading sustainability and ethics organizations.
  • Respond to customer requests promptly, establishing and maintaining credible relationships.
  • Develop and manage an audit process to explore and uphold ethical and sustainable standards.
  • Visit factories and fisheries to assess and ensure ethical and sustainable practices are upheld.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to stay updated on the latest sustainability trends and developments.
  • Communicate the company’s commitment to ethical practices through external and internal presentations.
  • Manage and maintain databases with key information related to seafood sales and orders.
  • Lead and develop the Corporate Social Responsibility Executive.

About You: We’re looking for someone who is passionate about sustainability and eager to make a difference. You’ll need:

  • A 2:1 degree (or above) in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with Ethical Supply initiatives and standards and wider sustainability
  • Experience in the Food & Drink, Fashion, FMCG or similar sector
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A highly motivated, project-driven attitude with a “can do” spirit.
  • Dynamic, determined, and passionate about ethical practices in the food industry.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • An interest in FMCGs and the food sector.

What The Role Offers:

  • Salary: Circa £45,000/£50,000
