Job Title: Class 2 Driver

Location: Exeter

Salary: £16 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:15pm

Employment Type: 12 week Temporary to Permanent

Job Description:

Apollo Recruit is seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team in Exeter. As a Class 2 Driver, you will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of recyclable materials to designated locations.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and drive Class 2 vehicles to transport recyclable materials to various destinations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its roadworthiness.
• Load and unload recyclable materials onto and from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of the cargo.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, or damage to property.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving license.
• Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Proven experience as a Class 2 Driver.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent driving record with no serious traffic violations.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle loading and unloading of materials.
• Flexibility to work overtime.
