Contract – Permanent


Hours – Full Time or Part Time

We’re looking for a proactive and pragmatic Health and Safety Coordinator with a flair for facilities management to join our dynamic team. Ideally based near the Isle of Wight, Romsey, or Hamble, you’ll have the opportunity to oversee multiple sites and play a key role in maintaining high standards of health, safety, and operational excellence across our exciting locations. As a rapidly growing company within the marine industry, we have an exciting career opportunity for a Health Safety and Facilities Coordinator to support and oversee our network of established sites based within Hampshire.


Our sites include RS Marine Group HQ and RS Sailing – Romsey, Southampton, RS Electric Boats – Hamble, RS Cowes, Cowes Isle of Wight and Cheetah Marine Ventnor Isle of Wight.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve H&S policies, procedures, work instructions and safe systems at work.
  • Review H&S legislation, regulations, HSE guidance and Approved Codes of Practices; and ensure implementation within the organisation.
  • Provision, implementation, review, approval, and maintenance of Risk COSHH & REACH Assessments as required by UK and EU Legislative requirements.
  • Establish controls to ensure adherence to the H&S program.
  • Compile all H&S activity reports and performance statistics as required.
  • Provision of H&S information, instruction, and training, as and when required.
  • Oversee and advise on the day-to-day implementation of H&S arrangements – including Risk Assessments, Inspection
  • Investigate and follow up accident, incidents and near misses.
  • Support HR in full training program
  • vehicle/fleet H&S (maintenance)


Facilities Management:

  • Oversee facilities management across all sites, including RS Marine Group HQ, RS Sailing, RS Electric Boats, RS Cowes, RS Sailing Midlands, and Cheetah Marine.
  • Conduct regular meter readings and manage utilities for all locations.
  • Ensure all sites meet health and safety standards, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs to keep facilities in optimal condition.
  • Manage contracts with external service providers related to facilities and utilities.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a related industry in a H&S role
  • An understanding of the Marine Industry
  • Experience of maintaining a safe working place
