Job description

Salary: £ 32.000 per year + Service Charge + Bonus. Full- time, Permanent


Key Responsibilities:

People:

  • Assist in the induction and initial training of all F&B staff
  • Identify and implement additional training for current staff as required
  • Ensure that clearly defined tasks and duties to be performed are allocated for each shift
  • Communicate all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and ensure that they are adhered to by all
  • Provide ongoing training and support to maintain product knowledge
  • Work closely and effectively communicate with chefs to ensure a smooth operation
  • Ensure that all staff adhere to the company standards of personal presentation, hygiene, and grooming

Service:

· Manage effectively a 100 seats cocktail bar; 80 seats fine dining restaurant; organising meeting and events up to 250 people.

· Deputise F&B Manager during his absence.

· Direct and oversee all F&B operations across the hotel, from the daily operations to big events such as corporate meetings or weddings.

  • Ensure that all customer complaints are handled in an efficient and courteous manner
  • Evaluate guest satisfaction levels, focusing on constant improvement. Monitor our reputation tools such as Tripadvisor.

· Liaise with other department to ensure the smooth running of events

  • Record any accidents that occur, no matter how minor, by using the correct accident reporting procedure

Financial and Stock Control:

  • Follow the budgeted guidelines about Food, Beverage, and Payrolls and liaise with Finance department to generate forecast.
  • Assist with monthly inventory so all stock is accounted for and recorded (FOH supplies such as napkins, straws, candles, waiter pads, pens, hand gel, etc.)
  • Ensure that all “petty cash” items are signed and accounted for on a daily basis
  • Ensure that all waste, breakages and spillages are tracked
  • Ensure correct cash and credit card handling procedures are undertaken – any issues to be reported to the F&B Manager

The Ideal Candidate:

· Have at least 1 year previous experience as F&B Assistant Manager or within 4 or 5 star hotels with busy F&B operation.

· Have deep knowledge about Food Hygiene and all the Health and Safety legislation.

· Great knowledge about Food and Wines.

· Excellent organizational skills and ability to find solutions.

· Is truly passionate about customer service.

Eligibility:

In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Pay: £32,000.00 per year plus service charge
