Job Description


Central Film School is a specialist accredited Higher Education institution based in Clapham, South London, that offers BA, MA and short courses in filmmaking, acting and screenwriting. The school has provided students from all over the world the fundamental skills needed to pursue a career in the screen industries for over 17 years and, as part of its missions, is committed to amplifying under-represented voices in the screen industries.


Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Recruitment & Admissions Manager to lead and manage the end-to-end admissions and recruitment processes at Central Film School. The ideal candidate will drive the recruitment of students, manage the admissions cycle, and ensure a high-quality, engaging experience for prospective students. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, excellent communication, and hands-on leadership to deliver results in a highly competitive sector.


Salary: £32,000 - £35,000, plus OTE bonus


Key Responsibilities


Recruitment Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract a diverse range of students both nationally and internationally. Ensure effective engagement with prospective students, educational institutions, and key stakeholders.


Admissions Management

Oversee the admissions process, ensuring that it is efficient, transparent, and applicant-focused. Manage all stages of the student application process, from initial inquiry through to enrolment, while maintaining high standards of communication and engagement with applicants.


Team Leadership

Lead and manage the admissions and recruitment team, ensuring team members are well-trained, motivated, and working collaboratively to achieve targets.


Data & Reporting

Monitor recruitment trends and admissions data to provide regular reports on recruitment performance, market insights, and application conversion rates. Ensure data integrity and compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.


Relationship Building

Build and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, universities, and relevant industry networks to promote the school and strengthen the recruitment pipeline.


Event Management

Working with the Marketing & Communications team, assist in organising and delivering open days, virtual events, and recruitment fairs to promote Central Film School and engage prospective students.


Marketing Collaboration:

Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials that effectively communicate the value of Central Film School’s programs.


Student Support:

Provide guidance and support to prospective students throughout the application process, ensuring a personalised and engaging experience that reflects the school's values.


Outreach

Lead on the school’s activity is widening access and supporting progression for students from under-represented and deprived groups, including ldevloping the school’s Access & Participation Plan (APP).


Required Experience & Qualifications:


- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Education, Business, Film Studies).

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in student recruitment or admissions, preferably within higher education or creative industries.

- Demonstrated success in developing and executing recruitment strategies that deliver results.

- Strong knowledge of the admissions process, including managing application systems and CRM tools.

- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and the ability to work with key performance indicators (KPIs).

- Familiarity with UK and international student recruitment markets and regulatory requirements.
