Job Summary

As a Stylist at Drybar, you play a pivotal role in providing extraordinary client experiences through quality blowouts, contributing to the overall success of the team, and upholding the brand’s excellence in service. With a focus on teamwork and delivering exceptional client satisfaction, you will ensure that Drybar’s standards and non-negotiables are met.

We are looking for a hair stylist who has:

• A current and valid cosmetology license for NJ
• Exceptional communication skills and a mindset geared toward teamwork and problem-solving.
• Ability to perform blowouts at a sustained, fast pace and openness to receiving feedback and coaching.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering unparalleled customer service.
• Proficiency in multitasking and maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure.
• Holds a valid Cosmetology license or certificate for the state of employment.
• Displays integrity, trustworthiness, motivation, and reliability.
• Must be comfortable using hot tools and exposure to hair products, with limited chemical exposure to Barbicide.
• Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends at any Drybar South Jersey location.

Hey cosmetology students!! We also accept applications from those attending cosmetology school (must have a valid cosmetology license to work as a hairstylist).

Primary Job Duties

• Greet and ensure clients experience exceptional service from arrival to departure in line with Drybar’s high standards.
• Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their hair needs and expectations.
• Shampoo, blow dry, and style clients’ hair, adhering to Drybar’s Anatomy of the Blowout.
• Deliver comprehensive client education on products and tools, recommending appropriate products and memberships.
• Maintain shop cleanliness, including cleaning, sweeping, inventory management, dishwashing, and restocking product shelves.
• Consistently provide punctual, prepared, and exceptional service during scheduled shifts.
• Contribute to fostering a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
• Attend mandatory shop meetings and embody Drybar’s 10 Core Values.
• Undertake other duties and projects that as assigned.

Physical Demands & Equipment

• Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands, wrists, and arms for extended periods of up to 8 hours.
• Must be capable of lifting weights of up to 15 pounds.
• Must be able and comfortable with using: blowdryer, assorted hot tools, and brushes, clips, and rollers.
