Womenswear Designer

We are looking for a talented Womenswear Designer to join a trend lead global fashion brand. This role is to design and develop the womenswear collection primarily across jersey but woven too.

Based in London, you will be reporting into a Senior Designer and work closely with the team to research, discover and create concepts for the season. This role requires a highly creative individual with a deep understanding of womenswear fashion, who can bring fresh design ideas.

This role offers hybrid working 4 in the office and 1 from home.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Research and discover new trends and concepts for the season.

• Source new and innovative fabrics with mills and factories.
• Present fashion designs to Senior Management in seasonal sign off meetings.
• Work on the fit of the garment throughout the product lifecycle from initial design to shipment.
• Work closely with factories and suppliers, building and nurturing relationships.
• Think of newness and be creative in your designs, creating detailed technical packs.

• Work collaboratively with Designers, Garment Techs, & Buyers to ensure that the product is in line with the brands aesthetic and high-quality standards.
• Work to critical path to ensure on time deliveries.

Person Specifications:

• Previous experience designing trend lead womenswear multi product.
• Computer skills in: Adobe Illustrator , Photoshop, Excel, Word, Outlook (email)

• Great eye for design, being able to communicate your ideas onto paper.
• Technical knowledge fabrics, as well as garment construction
• Experience working with factories and suppliers.
• A talented individual with a can do attitude.
• Good team player and communicator.
