Shift Manager PM Shift FTC

With Christmas fast approaching us we are now looking for a PM Shift Manager on a 3 month Fixed Term Contract to help deliver peak, our busiest time of the year.

This exciting opportunity is for a PM Shift Manager to join us at our National Returns Centre, our PM Shift typically runs between 14:00-22:00, working 5 in any 7 days.

Day to day you'll:

• Ensure the appropriate level of resource is assigned to the specific area to cover all shifts across the working week.
• Daily planning and management of the operation, depending on the area you manage including parcel presentation, productivity levels and achievement of forecasted CPU against budgeted targets.
• Be accountable for all shift operational costs and performance reports and able to demonstrate strong cost leadership.
• With the support of the Operations Manager lead, organise and control a team of Supervisors including 121's, performance reviews and team meetings.
• Responsible for all H&S, hygiene and quality audits including risk assessments and safe systems of work in your area.

Essential Skills & Experience Required:

• PC literate – you'll be ok with Microsoft Office products
• Experience of logistics or distribution and ideally managing a team of operatives
• Be able to work at pace to challenging targets within in a fast paced environment
• Be able to influence using data and your natural charm
