Role: Product Development Technologist

Salary: Up to £32K - dependent on experience

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (usually 8am-4pm, some flexibility may be required)

Contract: Permanent

About the role

As a key member of the team, you will collaborate closely with Innovation and Commercial colleagues to execute our food strategy. Your role involves leading and motivating an internal team to ensure project timelines are met, while overseeing the food range from conception to process handover. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality product developments that align with brand requirements and presenting them professionally. Your duties include benchmarking and maintaining range quality, completing sample submission forms and internal feasibility studies, and ensuring accurate project costing to meet commercial objectives.

Skills & Experience

• Passion for food and creativity
• Degree educated, with time in industry, so arrives with relevant customer facing experience and a good sense of what is required from the role.
• Numerate, literate and a good communicator, as this role will liaise with many different functions and businesses
• Personal characteristics: highly motivated and accountable self-starter, with a robust and tenacious attitude, great communication skills and a sense of fun.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills building open co-operative relationships
• Excellent organisational skills
• Proficient IT skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
• Team player with the ability to work autonomously
• Approachable, flexible and methodical - keen attention to detail
