Senior Full Stack Engineer (Adobe Magento2)

Beauty Works operates internationally to both to salon professional and directly to consumers and is owned by a Beauty Industry Group based in Salt Lake City and has the largest share of the hair extensions market in the world.

We are seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Engineer (Adobe Magento2) to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.

Role Outline & Responsibilities

• Design, build, enhance, and support high-quality technical solutions using Magento 2.
• Develop and customize both front-end and back-end modules for Magento 2.
• Customize Magento’s REST APIs and optimize performance (code, database, minifying CSS and JS, server-side caching, and CDN).
• Utilize PHP development with a strong understanding of MySQL and MVC frameworks.
• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Magento systems.
• Handle CSS, Ajax, jQuery, JavaScript, XML parsing, and data handling.
• Use server CRON, server monitoring tools, and application monitoring tools like New Relic.
• Employ version control using Git.
• Manage and document project-related risks and concerns.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and produce training materials and documentation.
• Work effectively with a remote team of developers to deliver quality code efficiently.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, and internal teams including eCommerce, merchandising, and marketing to ensure alignment with company processes.

Key Skills

• 4+ years of experience working with Magento/Adobe.
• 2+ years of demonstrable experience working with web services (REST/SOAP).
• Bachelor’s degree is desirable
• High level of PHP proficiency.
• Magento 2 front-end and back-end module development and customization.
• Customizing Magento’s REST APIs.
• Performance optimization (code, database, minifying CSS and JS, server-side caching, and CDN).
• Good knowledge of CSS, Ajax, jQuery, JavaScript, XML parsing, and data handling.
• Familiarity with server CRON, server monitoring tools, and application monitoring tools like New Relic.
• Experience with version control using Git.
• Experience with Magento/Adobe headless commerce and headless content is desirable.
• Experience with Product Information Management Systems is advantageous.
• Experience of distributed Magento architectures, MySQL database administration, Varnish, and Elasticsearch is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
