Job Description

On behalf of Defra, we are looking for a Assistant Estate Surveyor (Inside IR35) for a 6-month could be extended to 12-months contract. Based in Leeds Manchester or Newcastle, 3 days per week on average 4 week period, should they be an requirement to go into office it will be one of those areas.

* As a Assistant Estate Surveyor, your main responsibilities will be:
* Take full day to day estate responsibilities for your allocated portfolio.
* To deliver property transactions within your portfolio
* Supporting the Principal Corporate Property Surveyors
* Provide property advice and recommendations.
* Guiding a defined property portfolio
* Delivering property advice, guidance, and transactions in support of the property strategy and good estate guidance.
* Providing advice and professional support to the Defra Group businesses

Essential:

* Hold significant estate guidance experience. General Responsibilities
* Able to demonstrate competence and experience in commercial property and tenant/landlord matters on a transactional level
* Able to communicate to the external consultants.
* Legislation knowledge
* Knowledge of how leases work
* Knowledge on how to conduct a transaction.

Desirable:

* You should hold membership with RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveying)
