SENd Learning Assistant needed for a specialist school in South Shields. The school caters for a broad spectrum of special needs with the children aged 2-19.

Are you a specialist SENd Learning Assistant looking for a new role?

The main duties of the SENd Learning Assistant role will be:-

• Working with children on the Autistic spectrum
• Ability to use different strategies to support learning and the needs of the child
• Must demonstrate a positive and willing attitude

The right SENd Learning Assistant will have:-

Experience of working with children who have Autism or SENd is desirable but not essential

Experience working in school environments

Be able to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills

Promote happiness, self-reliance and encourage positive interactions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
