As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a qualified and experienced MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team.

Job Description:

As an MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician, you will ensure the safety and reliability of the customers vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct MOT inspections in line with DVSA regulations, providing a thorough and honest assessment of each vehicle. You will also contribute to the overall efficiency of the service center by assisting with vehicle repairs and maintenance when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct MOT Tests:Perform MOT inspections on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with all DVSA regulations and guidelines.
• Vehicle Diagnostics and Repairs:Identify any issues or defects during the inspection and carry out or recommend necessary repairs, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
• Workshop Support:Collaborate with mechanics and service advisors to ensure smooth workflow within the workshop, assisting with general vehicle repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Maintain Equipment:Ensure all MOT testing equipment is well-maintained, calibrated, and in good working order.

Qualifications and Skills:

• MOT Tester Certification:Must hold an NVQ Level 2 Vehicle Inspection Certification or equivalent with a valid Class 4 MOT Testing License
• Experience:Proven experience as an MOT Tester, with a strong track record of conducting thorough and accurate inspections.
• Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and repair techniques. Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Customer Service:Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to customers in an understandable way.
