Technical Project Manager

Location: Buckinghamshire

Type: Permanent- Hybrid 3x2

Up to £55,000 (dependent on experience) + Package


Our client is a specialist consultancy supporting Defence and government in complex digital projects. We are seeking Project Managers with a history of supporting Software and data-centric projects in secure environments. To join our dynamic team in driving digital transformation projects within the public sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage diverse technology projects using Agile, Waterfall, and other methodologies.
  • Collaborate with internal and supplier teams, ensuring project milestones are met.
  • Provide consultancy-style reports, and engage in business analysis and requirements capture.
  • Ensure rigorous IT service management and software deployment processes.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, especially within the public sector.


Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in technical project management, particularly in digital transformation.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Recognized Project Management qualifications (e.g., Agile Practitioner).
  • Familiarity with tools like MS Project, JIRA, and ITIL v4.
  • Ability to gain UK Security Clearance (SC).


Desirable:

  • Knowledge of: The National Archives, Archive Management Systems, Public Records Act and Freedom of Information Act
  • An understanding of public sector acquisition practices and examination
  • Degree (or equivalent) in numerate subjects such as, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or Physics.
